We Love BuHi presents
PARK(ing) Day on Buford Highway
Hosted By POP ATL Collective, Stand Landscape Architecture, and Houser Walker Architecture
September 15-17, 2017
In conjunction with the 2017 Living Walls Conference on Buford Highway, We Love BuHi invites Atlanta’s Design Community to celebrate Atlanta’s diverse, multicultural community,
transforming parking spaces
into temporary public places.
PARK(ing) Day is an annual global event where parking spaces are temporarily transformed into public spaces. In conjunction with this year's Living Walls Conference and its marquee event, the Buford Highway Night Market, We Love BuHi invites designers to participate in sponsoring, creating, and transforming parking spaces into 'Living Rooms' from September 15-17, 2017.
The Buford Highway Night Market will take place from 4:00-10:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, at Northeast Plaza, located at the intersection of Briarwood Road and Buford Highway, in front of and inside the old Atlanta Peach Night Club. The family-friendly, open-air Night Market, will feature food, public performances, and entertainment, as well as clothing, arts and crafts, knick-knacks, small household goods, and other products and services. The Living Rooms component, which we invite you to create, will provide seating and patio areas where Night Market attendees can eat, relax, and enjoy the show.
